The Challenge
Across Alberta, too many children are missing out on the physical, emotional, and social benefits of dance. In smaller communities, distance is the barrier. In urban centres, cost, culture, and confidence often stand in the way.
Without access to creative, active spaces, kids risk losing the opportunity to build connection, self-esteem, and healthy habits that last a lifetime.
Our Vision
Growing Up Strong removes barriers so every young person can experience the transformative power of dance.
From Fort McMurray to Medicine Hat, we:
Bring world-class ballet to schools and communities.
Offer free outreach classes in underserved areas.
Train talented youth in our professional programs.
Welcome newcomers and Indigenous youth with culturally responsive programming.
By 2030, we will reach 50,000 children and youth each year — doubling our current impact.
The Goal
We’re raising $20 million to power Growing Up Strong:
80% invested in our endowment for long-term sustainability.
20% invested in expanding and strengthening our work today.
